Patient Care and giving information to his patients before and after any treatment or surgery is one of Dr. Likers’ top priorities.
“To give information and an honest opinion regarding any treatment and/or surgery is not only important for the patients but also for their relatives, as many times they suffer almost as much as the patient,” Dr. Liker says.
Dr. Liker continues “To see the result when a person who has Parkinson are able to do something that most people see as simple, like be able to walk without freezing and to drink a glass of water or a patient that no longer is in pain is the biggest satisfaction I as a neurosurgeon can get”.
Dr. Liker and his colleges continuously research for new innovations and ways to make patients recover as fast and painless as possible without lower the care and quality of the patients.
As part of Dr. Likers´own research, the use of TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) became so much of interest that he opened 2 clinics of his own in Encino CA. and Valencia CA. where his team successfully treats depression, OCD, PTSD, and more.
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) improves symptoms by restoring normal nerve activity and increasing serotonin in the brain, and this without any surgery, in fact, the patients are able to drive back and forward after the treatment, if they are not under any medications or other condition that makes them unable to.
